This is the success strategy that every busy person should know, and anyone with a dream should implement today. It’s a method that helps you find time to do what you love, and realise goals, therefore leaving you with no other option but to just do it.
Sound too good to be true? Read on…
Time. I don’t know about you, but I seem to have no time for anything. Ever.
Well I guess that’s not entirely true. I have time to change nappies, wipe faces, watch pre-schooler acrobatics in the garden, wipe sticky finger marks off table tops, rescue dolls from the rubbish bin, navigate the grocery aisles, make lunches again and again, wipe sticky finger marks off table tops (have I said that already?!), hustle the kids into the car to get them to kindy + swimming + playdates… it makes me sigh just writing it. So the truth is, I never seem to have time to do what I truly love; what makes my heart sing.
This was until I stumbled upon a strategy that promised the world in just 10 minutes. For me, it has been life-changing.
A revelation I had in August 2015 started this whole ball rolling. I finally clicked that my future self needed to be writing, styling, creating, and spending memorable times + celebrations with my family + friends.
These themes are not random to me. I had spent my PR career writing everything you could imagine, and I had already dabbled in blogdom (as well as the lifelong habit of scribbling poems + stories + ideas in notebooks). I had kind of touched on my love of interiors, as was in the midst of making our very bare house into a home and had just completed an interior design diploma post many, many, many years swooning over every type of home magazine you could possibly imagine. The creations in 2015 were plentiful + enjoyable and ranged from making burlap wedding table centrepieces for a gorgeous friend to homemade birthday cards with carefully drawn wreaths + watercolour flowers. The parties were epic; my family even more epic – am just totally obsessed by my two cherubs as anyone that knows me will tell you.
Anyway, I had finally pulled all of these threads together; had finally clicked that if I could somehow pour my energy into all of these things for the rest of my life I’d be the happiest blonde on the block. So here we are, hello Flicker & Flock. The idea was there, the intention was real + I could see how it would all look – this little piece of pretty online paradise where I can share all the bits of life that I love the most, with others.
Except, remember, I have no time for anything but nappies + cleaning + taxiing + cooking + chores + groceries.
Until I read the secret strategy. How 10 minutes can change your life… and it totally did. Read it. Do it. You will be amazed how 10 minutes can truly impact what you want to do in your day. In your life. How it will snowball into success.
And Flicker & Flock is living proof of that. Sure I have been working on the content + design + layout right up until the very, last, minute (nothing like a looming self-imposed deadline to get you going – eek!). But I did it. I set a goal, I told my friends, I got started, and now here we are with my soul + heart on a screen. I’m so so so happy.
I hope you grow to love Flicker & Flock as much as I do. Come back and visit whenever you like, and be sure to sign up for email updates if you want to stay in touch with all the latest from us.
